Hamburg and Dubai get closer and closer. An important link is the “Hamburg Representative Office Dubai”, financed by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and the Hamburg Business Development Corporation (HWF).

This representative office acts as partner for companies and institutions both from Hamburg and the UAE. Its core activities include the development of business relationships between the UAE and Hamburg and vice versa, for example through the initiation of business contacts and links to government authorities or professional associations. The office has assumed a bridgehead function to the entire Arab world for Hamburg’s business world. It is located at the offices of the German Industry and Commerce Office. The office, officially opened in January 2006 has, within just a short space of time, been able to oversee numerous projects whose diversity attests to the excellent relations between Hamburg and the UAE, in particular Dubai.
